LSU Athletic Director Joe Alleva has denounced the behavior of the LSU student section during the LSU Men’s Basketball game on Saturday, The Advocate reported.
During the game against Oklahoma, inappropriate chants were yelled from the student section to Oklahoma player Buddy Hield. Following the game, which was a loss for the Tigers (77-75), students threw ice and towels as Oklahoma left the court.
“I am very disappointed with the language used by our students,” Alleva said, according to The Advocate. “They should act with class and respect our opponents. Their language is embarrassing and motivates our opponent.”
