Animal shelter has surplus of cats, kittens

Companion Animal Alliance has a surplus of cats and kittens and is urging Baton Rougeans to adopt or foster, according to a report from WAFB. The animal shelter is trying to find homes for more than 150 cats and kittens.

To encourage adoptions, the shelter has reduced some of its adoption fees. Until July 15, the adoption fee for cats and kittens has been reduced to $20.

In addition, the shelter is looking for volunteers.
