Another Louisiana chef is making his way to downtown’s White Star Market.
Former Tsunami chef Vu Le will open Chow Yum Phat, an Asian-style eatery, according to The Advocate. Le feels the capital city needs more Asian flavors in its portfolio.
“When I visit bigger cities, I usually find myself at an izakaya, grilling up some Korean BBQ, or enjoying a face-melting bowl of dandan noodles,” Le said, according to The Advocate. “Mostly it’s all types of food I can’t find at home. I want to draw from those flavors, and incorporate them into my menu at White Star.”
Le is joined at White Star Market by a host of local chefs, such as Jay Ducote, Jesse Romero and Michael Mangham.
