Brandon Ainsworth’s classic and preppy aesthetic is something he strives to represent every day whether he is out to a casual dinner with friends or styling his clients at work. He expresses his style by adding fun and unexpected accents to his every day outfits, and never shies away from color or prints.
1. Who is your style inspiration?
Definitely Joseph Gordon-Levitt. I particularly love how he consistently wears well-tailored suits. A well-tailored suit is as important for a man as the perfect little black dress is for a woman.
2. What current trend do you hope becomes a staple?
One trend I love right now is wearing print on pattern. Having fun with an outfit by mixing plaids and polka dots, especially for spring, is so fun!
3. What is your must-have accessory for spring?
I love accenting my outfits with a colorful loafer. Also, a really cool belt is essential to tying a look together. Both are great ways to add a pop of color.
4. What are you hoping to add to your closet soon?
I’m always trying to think ahead and be fashion forward, so I am dying to add a new leather moto jacket to transition back into fall. It’s definitely a season must-have!
Freddy Curry’s striking style and gorgeous looks are something she is used to showing on and off the runway. This retail maven has also modeled for New Orleans Fashion Week, Fashion Week New Orleans, and Baton Rouge designer/Project Runway: All-Stars winner Anthony Ryan Auld.
1. How do you describe your style?
I would describe my style as conservative but playful. I like to play with color and sometimes with prints.
2. Whose closet would you love to raid?
Lupita Nyong’o! I love all the color she wears and her style. She’s so elegant and every color looks amazing on her. Also, Drew Barrymore. I find her hipster bohemian chic style to be so fun.
3. What is your must-have item for spring?
A colorful handbag. It’s great because of the versatility. You can match it with almost anything you want to wear. Especially with multicolored handbags, you can always find a color to accent.
4. How do you feel about the pastel hair trend?
I think it’s gorgeous! Not something I would wear personally, but I think it would be beautiful on other people.
5. Where do you shop in Baton Rouge?
J. Crew, Gap, and Ann Taylor are some of my favorites. I also shop for a lot of my accents pieces like handbags and rings on local website RJB Accessories, which happens to be run by my sister!
