Baton Rouge summer survival guide

Summer in Baton Rouge can be miserable.
The heat is unrelenting, and the humidity is even worse. And because we live in a football town, the streets are deserted in the summer. While the reprieve from traffic is welcome, it can be lonely when all of your friends are off doing something more exciting than staying in the Red Stick.
The key to making your summer memorable, rather than miserable, is to stay busy.

Yeah, it sounds super nerdy, but in the (sort of) cool nights, Geocaching adds the fun of a treasure hunt to your days. P.S. There are some really good ones on LSU’s campus.

It’s sweltering, so you need to stay hydrated. What better way to do that than with a brightly colored treat from a local business?
