Bayou Country Superfest organizers, Festival Productions, Inc., recently announced the lineup for the 2016 Memorial Day weekend music festival. The seventh annual country music festival will take place at Tiger Stadium on May 27th, 28th and 29th and is filled with veteran and rookie BCS performers including Lady Antebellum, Eric Church, Thomas Rhett and Jason Aldean.
Here’s a quick look at the must-see artists performing this year.
Luke Bryan was just recently named as one of CMT’s top country artists of the year. He is best known for songs such as, “All My Friends Say,” “Do I,” and his most recent release, “Strip It Down” from his latest “Kill the Lights” album. This will be Bryan’s fourth trip to Tiger Stadium as a BCS headliner.
Little Big Town
This band was also named one of CMT’s Artists of the Year for 2015 and is scheduled to tour with Luke Bryan and Dustin Lynch next year. They are best known for their songs, “Tornado” and “Pontoon,” as well as their most recent hit, “Girl Crush,” which won CMAs for Vocal Group of the Year and Single of the Year.
Rucker has had great success as a country artist and is currently on his fourth solo album. He was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2012 and received six Number One singles from his previous three albums. He also won a Grammy Award for Best Country Solo Performance with his version of the song, “Wagon Wheel.”
A rookie to BCS, Cole Swindell is making headlines with his song, “Chillin’ It,” which is trending to become his first Gold-certified single. He’s also known for songs like, “Hope You Get Lonely Tonight” and “Let Me See Ya Girl.”
This will be Dierks Bentley’s second trip to BCS; the first being in 2012. Bentley’s currently on his seventh album and has 12 Number One singles under his belt. He’s sold more than five million records, achieved 11 Grammy nominations and has even earned an invitation to join the Grand Ole Opry. Bentley is best known for hits such as, “I Wanna Make You Close Your Eyes,” “Come A Little Closer,” and “Every Mile A Memory,” to name a few.
Another newcomer to BCS, Dustin Lynch is one of today’s most successful young country music artists. He’s best known for the song, “Cowboys and Angels,” which earned him a stop on Billboard’s Top 5 Country Songs of 2012 list. He also hit Number One on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart with his self-titled debut album the same year. Other hits include, “Hell of a Night” and “Where It’s At.” Lynch is also scheduled to tour with Little Big Town and Luke Bryan next year.
