A blood drive in honor of law enforcement killed earlier this week will be held on Thursday at the State Capitol, The Advocate reports. Both state workers and the public can donate.
The drive was organized by the Governor’s Office of Programs and Planning and LifeShare Blood Centers.
“I am humbled by the response from the city of Baton Rouge and from Louisianans all across the state to this tragedy,” Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards said in a statement. “I encourage every one of our state employees to donate as they are able, whether at this drive or at the blood centers in their own communities.”
The blood drive will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
