Board to meet about controversial Spanish Town floats

Some floats in the annual Spanish Town Parade rubbed paradegoers the wrong way Saturday.

According to The Greater Baton Rouge Business Report, the Spanish Town Mardi Gras Parade Board of Directors will soon meet to review the floats being criticized for alleged racism. One such float was the #PinkLivesMatter float, referencing the Black Lives Matter movement. The float also included a reference to Eric Garner, who died after being placed in a chokehold while in police custody.
