Dig Baton Rouge

BR musicians to release ‘Fight the Flood’ album

A group of Baton Rouge musicians came together in the days following last year’s August flood and recorded the song “Fight the Flood” to celebrate the strength of Baton Rouge. That initial meeting grew into the album “Fight the Flood,” scheduled to be released Aug. 12, the one year anniversary of the flood, according to a news release.

The album is made up of songs by musicians from a range of musical genres, but every track shows the experiences the musicians had from the flood, in addition to the road to recovery. Proceeds from the album will benefit the Capital Area United Way.
