The Baton Rouge River Center, which served as a shelter for flood evacuees for 32 days, will soon reopen to the public, according to a news release from the Baton Rouge Mayor’s Office. Those currently staying in the shelter will be moved to another location.
The River Center will resume its regular operations on Oct. 1 with an appearance from Sadie Robertson.
“We are humbled and appreciate all the support and understanding from our clients and patrons during this time,” said Michael Day, general manager of the Baton Rouge River Center. “Our pledge is to bring quality entertainment and enriching events to Baton Rouge and the Capital Region.”
