The non-profit Companion Animal Alliance is looking to raise more money for a new facility.
CAA launched a campaign yesterday to raise $2 million for construction of a new animal shelter, according to The Greater Baton Rouge Business Report. The organization has already raised $10 million for the new facility.
“Our pets deserve a better animal shelter,” says Charlie Lamar, co-chair of the fundraising campaign, in a statement, according to the Business Report. “They rely on us for their well-being, and we must give them a more humane place to live while they wait to be adopted.”
