Sarah Winn is an avid runner, often seen wearing functional athletic attire. However, when she dresses for an occasion, her classic sense of personal style is evident. She often wears well-tailored, structured garments with unique details. Typically, her style aesthetic is minimal, relying on the combination of chic items to create a fashionable ensemble. Sarah gives us insight on her personal style and how she would dress for Valentine’s Day.
DIG: What is an item in your closet that you cannot live without?
Sarah Winn: Right now, my Ann Taylor wool jacket is an item that I cannot live without.
DIG: Which items in your wardrobe do you find yourself wearing most often?
SW: Again, the item I wear most often would be my Ann Taylor wool jacket. It’s great when it’s cold and even just slightly chilly.
DIG: What do you wear when you want to make an impact or be noticed for your fashion aesthetic?
SW: If it’s something more casual, I go for a great pair of jeans and a silk top with a fun shoe. If I were going somewhere dressier, I go straight for this purple sheath dress I have and pair with a daring pair of shoes.
DIG: How would you describe your personal style?
SW: I don’t really have one particular style, but I lean towards a dressy, casual style most days.
DIG: Who or what do you look to for style inspiration?
SW: I love following the street trends during fashion week, but I also love Olivia Palermo and Ann Hathaway’s personal styles.
DIG: How would you dress for Valentine’s Day (a date or a girl’s night)?
SW: My go to for a date night is a nice dress. I tend to gravitate towards silks, especially a washed silk, with some killer shoes. For a girl’s night, I’d pull out my favorite jeans and a dressy top−again I like silks−and some great shoes that allow me to dance and move comfortably.
