Downtown Baton Rouge is getting a new spot for creative professionals.
The Parlor, a coworking space in the Beauregard Town neighborhood of downtown Baton Rouge, recently opened at 705 St. Joseph St., according to The Greater Baton Rouge Business Report. The space will function as a work and meeting space during the day and will transform into a concert venue at night.
Creative professionals can make use of the space for $15 a day or $150 a month.
“We’d like to get to the point where someone could just call up and say they need a graphic designer or a photographer and we’d have someone here we could refer to them,” Parlor owner Jody Johnston said, according to The Business Report. “There’s so much talent in this market and especially since the movie industry has pretty much gone away, we have a lot of creative people from the film industry that are available for work.”
