Brother” by Mac Demarco: We are subtly reminded that summer is finally here with Mac Demarco’s anticipated release, Salad Days. The 23 year old singer/song-writer has been building an ever-growing audience since the drop of his EP, Rock’n’Roll Night Club in 2012. “Brother” provides a beautiful blend of beachy guitar riffs and steady drum-work. This breezy track is sure to help you smile through the summer.  ★★★★★

“The Soundmaker” by Rodrigo y Gabriela: Prominent flamenco guitarists Rodrigo Sanchez and Gabriela Quintero’s latest album, 9 Dead Alive, is the duo’s most diverse to date. “The Soundmaker” evidences the pair’s advanced technical aptitude, showcasing dueling guitars and percussive backbeats. ★★★★

Parks Vincent, Entertainment Writer

“A Dream of You and Me” by Future Islands: Baltimore based trio, Future Islands provide a crisp close to their 2014 album “Singles,” with the song “A Dream of You and Me.” As the last track on their highly respected release, the front man Sam Herring repeats “I ask myself for peace,” as if he’s suddenly finding the clarity he has longed to discover. This light guitar stays consistent providing a refreshing sound for a Sunday afternoon. ★★★★

Cody Worsham, Editor in Chief

“Down” by The Kooks: The influence of hip-hop artist/producer Inflo is immediately evident on the The Kooks’ first release since 2012. The titular track, “Down,” sets the tone for the EP. It’s funky and brash, mixing quick-jabbing verses with a full-bodied hook you can’t, and don’t wanna, shake. ★★★★

Pat Gunther, Entertainment Writer

“Atoms” by Boots:  The mysterious producer with a co-sign from the queen herself, Beyonce, has been making waves with the release of his debut project “WinterSpringSummerFall”. As the album changes in style and tone, akin to the seasons, the track Atom hits you with solid doses of catchy pop euphoria and R&B vocals. ★★★
