Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is making a visit to Louisiana today in the aftermath of historic floods that ravaged the area, WBRZ reports. He’s in the state to tour flood-damaged areas.
It was previously unknown what the presidential nominee would do during his visit, USA Today reports.
According to Gov. John Bel Edwards, Trump didn’t tell the governor’s office he was making the trip, and he hopes it won’t be solely for a “photo-op.”
“Instead, we hope he’ll consider volunteering or making a sizable donation to the LA Flood Relief Fund to help the victims of this storm,” the governor’s office said in a statement, according to USA Today.
