Leonard Fournette should be OK to play this weekend despite a sore ankle stemming from a previous injury, LSU interim Coach Ed Orgeron said.
“Leonard is tough,” Orgeron said in a news conference today, according to The Advocate. “I think the ankle is a little sore. If he needs a day off Tuesday, he gets a day off. … I do believe he’s going to be fine.”
During LSU’s game against Arkansas on Saturday, Fournette stopped playing in the third quarter after landing on his left leg and having his ankle retaped earlier in the game, according to The Advocate.
LSU takes on Florida at noon on Nov. 19 in Tiger Stadium.
