The Main Library at Goodwood, which opened in early 2014 as part of the East Baton Rouge Parish Library system, was recognized by an online magazine for its architectural design, according to an EBRPL news release. Elle DECOR featured the library in its ranking of “50 Best Libraries in the United States.”
The three-story building was designed by Library Design Collaborative. It’s 120,000 sq. ft. and houses more than 500,000 materials. It has stained glass windows, a recycled paper waterfall, a landscaped roof terrace and many more design features, according to the release.
