Gov. Edwards declares state of emergency for Louisiana following storms

Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards has declared a state of emergency following the severe weather that hit the state over the weekend, WAFB reports. Tornadoes, strong winds and heavy rain plagued the state, resulting in extensive damage.

East Baton Rouge Parish received an average of 3 inches of rain.
