Governor proposes sales tax on Netflix, other streaming services

Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards is proposing a tax on Internet streaming services, according to WWLTV. The tax is being proposed in an effort to help reduce budget shortfalls.

The tax would match add 5 percent to monthly subscription prices. The tax, combined with other proposed taxes, could give the state $200 million per year.
