The Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank is among many homes and businesses in Louisiana devastated by the flood. Their 170,000 square foot building received 4-5 feet of water during the flood and many contents were lost. From their technology and office furniture to trucks, as well as approximately 1 million pounds of purchased and donated food. They have started the clean-up and response efforts so that they can once again feed the hungry in Baton Rouge and surrounding areas.
Whether it be food, funds, or their time, people are continuously giving to the Food Bank because it is such an important part of our community. If you would like to volunteer, donate food, or donate funds, please visit brfoodbank.org.
