Green Garb

Don’t get pinched! It’s time to show off some gorgeous greens this weekend in honor of the luckiest of holidays.

Since St. Patrick’s Day is actually on Monday, you’ll want to have a few options ready to get you through weekend festivities and back to work. Here are a few different ways you can rock the green this year.

Novelty tees are always a hit during this holiday, so you can’t go wrong with the classic “Kiss me I’m Irish” shirt and other new designs that come out every year. If you’re looking for something a bit more versatile, you can always pair a solid green top or bottom with a neutral.

Feel free to include some patterns for a more whimsical look, like a striped shirt or even some polka dots. You also might want to throw in a four-leaf clover for good luck! Whether it’s a stick-on face tattoo or a design on a shirt, the popular symbol is just as important to the holiday as the color green itself.

Experiment with different shades of green. If you’re not into the brighter hues, you can always opt for darker, more muted greens. Think Kate Middleton’s coat from St. Patrick’s Day in 2012 and 2013. The soft emerald was more subdued but still very festive.

Don’t forget your jewelry and accessories! A green statement necklace is the perfect add-on to a simple dress or blouse. Hats, purses and even shoes are a unique way to include the color in your outfit. Smaller touches like these are perfect if you’re heading back to work Monday and want to keep your overall attire office-friendly.

Just like any other occasion, find what works best for you and have fun with it. St. Patrick’s Day only rolls around once a year, so show some spirit while you can!
