The Tigers are going to have to work a little harder if they’re planning on entering the NCAA tournament.
LSU Athletic Director Joe Alleva, who is on the tournament selection committee, said the LSU Basketball team needs to “win a lot of games” if the team is going to make it to the tournament, The Advocate reports.
“This is my fifth year on the committee, so I have a lot of experience doing this. As of yesterday, LSU’s RPI was 82. There has never been a team picked in the tournament at-large with an RPI over 80,” Alleva said on the radio show “Your Morning Drive,” according to The Advocate. “As of right now, I don’t think (the chances are) very good.”
