LSU’s former head coach Les Miles made $4,385,567, according to a list of 2016 NCAAF coaches’ salaries compiled by USA Today. That put him at No. 13 on the list of highest paid coaches in the nation.

Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh earned the top spot, making $9,004,000.

Miles was fired last month after LSU’s loss to Auburn, and LSU will pay the former coach around $9 million to buy out the remaining part of his contract, according to The Greater Baton Rouge Business Report. The total buyout was worth around $12 million, but Miles had already been paid part of it before his firing.
