Many publishers sent books to the Livingston Parish Library System following August’s devastating flooding, and now the library is giving those books to the community, The Advocate reports. The library will donate those books at all branches in the system from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 12.

More than 3,500 books will be given away at the event.

“We want to make sure that everyone who shows up gets at least one book and if we acquire more books, we will have another free book day at the library,” communications coordinator Emma James-Wilson said, according to The Advocate.
