The Louisiana Department of Transportation is seeking to help those affected by recent flooding in south Louisiana by organizing a transit service to restore Baton Rouge’s workforce. Many have lost vehicles due to the flooding.
“DOTD is compelled to expand the scope of our public service in communities across the area by establishing this regional transit service,” DOTD Secretary Shawn D. Wilson said on the DOTD website. “We are committed to helping our impacted neighbors get back to a regular routine by offering this important service to and from Baton Rouge.”
