Following the allegations of sexual assault involving athletes at several schools, LSU is looking to take preventative measures and implement sexual harassment sensitivity and awareness training for student athletes and coaches, The Advocate reports.
“We’ve been actively educating student athletes and coaches for years,” said Eddie Nunez, deputy director of LSU athletics, according to The Advocate. “We understand what’s happening in the industry and in the world, and we want to be proactive to expand on training and education.”
A curriculum for the program is being put together by the Dan Beebe Group, which LSU hired for $30,000, according to The Advocate.
