This year’s LSU commencement will graduate record numbers of students, according to a University Relations news release. The university will award more than 4,000 degrees today. Last year’s spring commencement awarded 3,977 degrees.
LSU will also have record numbers in African American, hispanic and female graduates.
Many of the commencement ceremonies today will have keynote speakers:
Landscape Architecture alumnus Lewis May for the College of Art & Design
Louisiana Commissioner of Administration Jay Dardenne for the the Manship School of Mass Communication
LSU Executive Vice President & Provost Richard Koubek for the College of Science
Electrical engineering graduate Daniel Lepkowski, who received an NSF Graduate Fellowship, for the the College of Engineering
