LSU’s latest mascot is a growing tiger, and very playful in his new habitat. That can be a problem if people bring stuffed animals or pets near the enclosure, according to LSU.
Longtime fans know not to bring pets near the live mascot (there are also signs posted), but now even plush tigers are a problem.
His handlers said on Facebook that Mike cannot tell the difference between live or toy animals, and could jump at them and hurt himself. Fans are asked to keep them away from the enclosure, and encourage others to do the same.
