LSU School of Social Work to collect blankets for area shelters

The LSU School of Social Work is asking those in the Baton Rouge area to send blankets to donate to local shelters, according to a news release.

“With winter around the corner, it’s imperative that people in our community donate much-needed items to support homeless citizens,” said Dr. Wesley Church, Director of the LSU School of Social Work, in the release.

To donate, you can purchase a twin-sized blanket online and send it to the School of Social Work or drop it off at labeled receptacles on campus. The drive runs from now until Dec. 9.
