LSU students parody ‘The Revenant’

A few LSU students have posted a spoof of “The Revenant,” the original starring now-Oscar winner Leonardo DiCaprio, on YouTube The Advocate Reports.

“It was inspired by all the troubles that LSU and higher education in the state may be facing, especially the arts,” Jason Lockhart, a master of fine arts student, said, according to The Advocate. “The film department here has only recently begun to grow. A few of us had this idea, after a very inspiring class in cinematography taught by Joshua Overbay. We hoped to utilize our precious film equipment and humorously replicate the brilliant work of cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki, who we’re rooting for to win the Oscar this Sunday.”
