The namesake of LSU’s PMAC, the late “Pistol Pete” Maravich, will have a statue erected on campus, according to The Greater Baton Rouge Business Report. The LSU Athletic Hall of Fame Committee approved a proposal for the statue Monday.
“We are extremely pleased that the Hall of Fame Committee has chosen to honor one of the most influential players in basketball history with a statue on our campus,” LSU Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Joe Alleva said in a statement, according to The Business Report.
More details about the statue will be released in the next few months.
