As much as I love seeing bold, experimental makeup looks on the runway, I appreciate beauty makeup so much more if it’s something that I can easily recreate at home. And the latest New York Fashion Week did not disappoint in that regard. From berry lips to flushed cheeks, these are the top trends from fall 2015 that you are going to want to start trying out ASAP.
Want lips that would put Jordan Catalano into a tizzy? From ripe berry to plum black and bright red, this season is bringing back bold color for your lips, and we’re excited to bust out these classic colors. We at DIG love the Vino, Tequila Sunrise and Vivianna colors from Kismet Cosmetics. They’re a staple in our makeup bags.
Metallic eye colors have been done before, but this season we’re going with bronze rather than classic gold or silver to add a little shimmer to our lives. The color really warms up a person’s face and pairs very well with one of the ‘90s lip colors or a natural nude lip.
Put down your contour brushes because this season it’s all about making your cheeks look like you just went on a brisk winter walk. Peach and rose colors are the perfect choices for those who want that fresh “stepped off the slopes” flush.
Think black liner is boring? Tweak the classic cat eye by opting for a straighter swipe of black kohl across the eyelid. This modern way to wear liner elongates and lifts the eye while adding a dash of intrigue to the face.
A sexy smoky eye is always a classic look on the runway. While dramatic eyes may be intimidating, you can create a smoky eye that’s less intense but still packs a punch by blending until you can blend no more. And then blend just a bit more. The result is an intense, yet soft ultra-diffused shadow.
