In a news conference Wednesday, LSU coach Les Miles let media in on one of his regrets while coaching at LSU, The Advocate reports. Miles dismissed Tyrann Mathieu, the “Honey Badger,” before the 2012 season after the player was dismissed for violating team rules.
“That’s one of the worst things I’ve ever done, just to be very honest with you,” Miles said Wednesday, according to The Advocate. “I’m so for him, I can’t tell you.”
After being dismissed from the team, Mathieu entered a rehabilitation center. Not long after, he entered the NFL draft.
