Nation’s oldest man dies at 110

Felix Simoneaux Jr., a man who spent roughly three months as the nation’s oldest man, has died, The Advocate reports. The LaPlace, Louisiana, resident was just one month away from his 111th birthday.

His granddaughter, Lori Ponville, said Simoneaux was very active leading up to his death.

“He worked his fields and would go to the French Market to sell vegetables,” she said, according to The Advocate.
