Kalurah Street Grill, a new restaurant and cocktail bar, will take over the former Chelsea’s Cafe location, The Advocate reports. A project headed by Brad Watts and Chad Hughes of The River Room and Ivar’s Sports Bar & Grill, respectively, the restaurant will serve seasonal, local produce focusing on Louisiana seafood and game, beef and pork.

Chef Kelley McCann, the who announced last month he would leave his current position at Galatoire’s Bistro in August, will be the executive chef of the restaurant.

“This won’t be Chelsea’s,” Watts said, according to The Advocate. “We’re not going to go be Chelsea’s. But it won’t be Galatoire’s, either. We want this place to look and feel different. We don’t want you to feel like you’re in Baton Rouge.”

The cocktail bar may function separately from the restaurant, maybe under a different name.

The lease for the building has been signed, and the construction process will take around 10-12 weeks to complete, according to the Advocate.
