New season of crime show ‘Killing Fields’ to continue investigating LSU student’s murder

Discovery Channel true crime show “Killing Fields” kicked off last season by investigating the murder of LSU student Eugenie Boisfontaine. The show’s second season will debut Jan. 3, and detectives are still looking into that topic, The Advocate reports. Boisfontaine’s body was found in Bayou Manchac, and her driver’s license and credit cards were found near the LSU lakes.

“Every day I get a chance, I think about that poor girl. I wish I could still do something,” said Iberville Parish detective Rodie Sanchez, according to The Advocate.

The Iberville Sheriff’s Office will also look into another case involving a body inside of a barrel.

“Killing Fields” returns to discovery on Jan. 3 at 9 p.m.
