No time for grocery shopping? Wal-Mart is bringing a grocery pickup service to some Louisiana stores
Don’t feel like braving the crowds at the grocery store? Have plans that don’t include grocery shopping? If you live near one of six south Louisiana Wal-Marts, you’re in luck.
Wal-Mart is offering its grocery pickup service at several stores near Baton Rouge, including 308 N. Airline Highway in Gonzales; 904 S. Range Ave. in Denham Springs; and 17585 Airline Highway in Prairieville, according to The Advocate. In addition, a few New Orleans-area stores will offer the service: 880 N. U.S. 190 in Covington; 300 W. Esplanade Ave. in Kenner; and 167 Northshore Blvd. in Slidell. Customers can order their groceries online, then pick them up curbside at participating Wal-Mart stores.
“Our customers have told us that grocery pickup is a game-changer,” said Ken Wesner, who manages the Covington store, according to The Advocate “They are now able to complete their grocery shopping in a matter of minutes — between errands or on their way home from an after-school activity — without even unbuckling their seat belts.”
