Parking on the wrong side of the road may soon become legal for drivers in residential areas, The Advocate reports.
State law requires the ride side of a car to be parallel to the curb when parked, according to the Advocate. But Sen. Danny Martiny is challenging that law with a bill that suggests parking on the “wrong” side of the road should become legal.
“It is not a public safety issue,” Martiny said, according to The Advocate. “People park in front of their house.”
