Baton Rouge saw a prosperous year of growth in the local arts scene during 2015. We saw the return of Art Melt, the largest multi-media juried art exhibition in Louisiana, as well several art shows that enriched our culture, inspired progress and provoked dialogue. Throughout 2015, several grassroots organizations had developed from their early beginnings as local house parties into legit, non-profit organizations, bringing a new, progressive experience to Baton Rouge. The diverse range of creative and interesting art from local Baton Rouge doesn’t stop just there. Whether it be contemporary dance, digital orchestra, new media installations and interactive theatre, there is always something going on to engage and inspire. Check out some of our favorite shots from the BR art scene this past year.
