Move-in day has come and gone, but is your pad still not looking its best? Don’t fret—there’s still time for a dorm makeover. We have a few tips to make your college home a little more comfy.
Spice up your walls with removable wallpaper.
This stuff can be a little pricy, so just cover one wall for an accent wall effect. Choosing a removable wallpaper could also be a good bonding experience for you and your roommate.
Ditch the storage bins…or at least hide them under your bed.
Even if you don’t want to cram your desk under your bed, lofting can be your best friend. If you raise it just a little, you can store everything you don’t want others to see.
Add a mirror.
Mirrors make a room look larger, so add one to the back of your door. You can check your outfit before you leave and make your room appear like a palace.
Frame magazine photos for easy art.
Wall art can be expensive, but if you want your room to look good on the cheap, frame some photos from your favorite magazine in frames from the dollar store. You can even spray paint the frames for some added flair.
Mount your tablet with removable wall hooks.
Don’t have the money to splurge on a TV, but you want to watch Netflix with ease? Put two removable hooks tablet width apart and sit your tablet in the middle. Now you have a wall-mounted TV.
