T-shirt company donates sales to Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank

Southern Football T-shirts, who created shirts in honor of the Cajun Navy, an organization that rescued thousands from flood waters in south Louisina this month, is donating the proceeds of the shirts to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, according to a news release. The profit, which totals to $38,000, was donated on Aug. 26.

“We are humbled and honored to be the recipients of this generous donation from Sarah and Meredith at Southern Football T-shirts,” said Charlene Montelaro, Senior Vice President of Development and Philanthropy at the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, according to the release. “We are especially touched that this donation comes from something so meaningful as honoring the brave men and women of the Cajun Navy who risked their lives to save so many flooded residents of our community. We cannot thank them enough for helping us rebuild the Food Bank so we can help rebuild our community.”
