If you are in the mood for the manliest meal of your life, try any of the delicious steaks at Doe’s Eat Place. These bad boys are cut fresh daily from whole beef loins to ensure that only the freshest meat makes it onto your plate. The atmosphere is laid back, and the décor flaunts hunting conquests from around the state. A stuffed coyote hanging from the wall stared greedily at my plate as I indulged in a medium done filet mignon with a side of red potatoes. No frills or fancy toppings are needed to enjoy this magnificent cut of meat.  The filet was done to a perfect medium with a crisp bark surrounding a tender melt-in-your-mouth center. A cool, crisp Abita paired perfectly with this beast of a meal (and helped wash down the taste of gluttony in my mouth – I seriously contemplated ordering a second steak).
