Baton Rouge is surprisingly well equipped when it comes to getting a taste for all things good across the pond.
As the Capital City’s premiere option for fish and chips, steak and ale, and The Big Ben Burger, The Londoner has become a staple in the community as an eccentric place to grab a bite and watch what the rest of the world calls football.
As with any prime drinking establishment, they’ve got a few cocktails on the menu that are sure to shake up your daily routine and give all those Jack and Cokes a run for their money.
Introducing the Witty Brit, which is what seems to be The Londoner’s take on the classic Louisiana hangover cure known as the Bloody Mary.
The Witty Britt is made of Pearl Cucumber Vodka mixed with our house Bloody Mary mix and House Of Parliament Steak Sauce.
While it may strike you as a strange concoction that only a drunk on a dare could drink (although that is conceivably how these started), the Witty Britt is a savory, frothy beverage and is a perfect compliment to the fish and chips option. It’s an obviously fruity, but not so obviously sweet cocktail that hits the spot whether or not you’re nursing the world’s worst headache.
Bloody Marys may not be the drink for everyone, but if you’re the kind of person who finds inspiration from places that do things their own way, The Londoner’s Witty Britt is the cocktail for you. A new twist on a classic recipe that is sure to cure and cause those pesky hangovers.
