This week, as we celebrate Craft Brewer’s Week, I wanted to take a look at another seasonal beer from a craft brewery out of Utah. Wasatch Brewery is part of the Utah Brewers Cooperative and they brew a Pumpkin Ale which is a little on the light side for this sort of seasonal. So if you are looking for a pumpkin beer without that very rich pie flavor, this one is for you. It has a low 4% ABV and a nice malty pumpkin spice aroma along with the matching amber-pumpkin color. As with some fruity beers, this one has sediment and small chunks of pumpkin in it, so don’t get turned off when you see chunks floating around. The flavor profile you get a large amount of malt with subtle. Overall I would give it a 3.75/5 and probably pair it with some good wings.
