LSU’s Tiger Stadium will undergo renovations over the next two years, The Advocate reports. In addition to adding more restrooms and concession stands, existing ones will be renovated. Also, officials will soon make a decision about whether to demolish the south end zone dorms to create more open space in the stadium.
“Is there an opportunity to come back and demo the whole south dorms? It might happen this year, might happen next year,” said Eddie Nunez, LSU’s deputy director of athletics, according to The Advocate. “One of those things we’re looking at is trying to continue to make the experience for our fans (better). When they come in Tiger Stadium, that it’s not a very confined space. We can open it up and make it more interesting.”
The plans for the renovations are still in the early stages, but work will likely begin in the offseason.
