TOPs will fund less than 30 percent of tuition and fees for in-state students at LSU this coming spring, WAFB reports. The university sent a letter to parents detailing the amount their children can expect to receive from the scholarship.

Tops will fund $1,559.76, $3,819.24 less than the current tuition and fee rates, according to WAFB. To help parents and students adjust to the lower amount of TOPS funding, the university is offering a deferred payment plan and student and parent loans.
