It was a lazy Sunday in May; Matt and Suzanne were lying in a hammock, beneath the trees of Matt’s childhood home when he asked the simple question, “Will you marry me?” After Suzanne said “yes” and shed a few joyful tears, they began their journey to becoming husband and wife.
The couple met, five years ago, through a mutual friend during their years at LSU. After a nervous first date on Valentine’s Day, they could instinctively tell that this was the start of something special. Since then, they have made many memories as a couple (like being together in Tiger Band), and now, look forward to the many memories to come.
When it was time to make wedding plans, Suzanne and Matt wanted a day that would be intimate, different and genuinely them. The setting of Matt’s childhood home held a special place in their hearts after his proposal, and they knew the beautiful yard would be a perfect setting for their big day.
Suzanne and Matt, along with the help of their family and friends, planned their wedding to be a day focused around love and family fun. They wanted an atmosphere that was natural and modern, yet elegant, and a reception no one would forget. Their family celebrated the wedding with yard games, music, Datz Italian wood-fire oven pizzas, and a firework finale.
