On Perkins Road, where neighborhood rhythm meets decades of familiar laughter and shared meals, DiGiulio Brothers continues to stand as one of Baton Rouge’s most beloved Italian cafés.

To understand the restaurant, you don’t start with the menu, you start with the people. The story begins with the DiGiulio family, their Italian heritage, and the belief that food is something best shared slowly, generously, and without pretense. Over the years, DiGiulio Brothers became a place where birthdays were toasted, first dates turned into anniversaries, and regulars became part of the fabric of the restaurant itself.

It has always felt personal here. And that’s intentional.

A thoughtful expansion, not to become something new, but to better hold what it had always been as more guests returned time and again. The recent expansion was guided by a single philosophy: Grow, but don’t change who we are. The project centered on creating more comfortable parking and easier access, a designated waiting area for guests, and an expanded patio where meals can unfold slowly and comfortably.

The Sign That Still Says ‘Home'

The most recognizable symbol of DiGiulio Brothers has always been the sign showcasing the flamingos framing the logo, the classic neon glow, the unmistakable nod to vintage Baton Rouge charm. While the restaurant has grown, this iconic signage remains unchanged. It’s a reminder that although space has expanded, the heart of the place is exactly the same.
