Behind every great burger is a story, and in Louisiana, that story often begins long before the grill gets fired up.

As DIG Baton Rouge prepares to bring Burger Week back to the Capital City for the first time since 2023, we're proud to recognize the Louisiana Beef Industry Council as an official sponsor of this year's celebration.

From October 19–31, restaurants across Baton Rouge will come together to showcase creative burgers, introduce diners to new flavors, and celebrate one of America's favorite foods. But beyond the burgers themselves, this event is also an opportunity to recognize the agricultural industry that helps make it all possible.

Supporting the People Behind the Beef

Louisiana has a rich agricultural history, and cattle producers are an important part of that story.

The Louisiana Beef Industry Council works to strengthen the state's beef industry through education, research, promotion, and programs designed to increase consumer awareness and demand for beef.

Its mission goes beyond encouraging people to enjoy a good steak or burger. The organization works to support the long-term success of cattle producers while helping consumers better understand the value and versatility of beef.

For Louisiana's farming and ranching families, raising cattle represents generations of hard work, dedication, and agricultural knowledge.

And while we often focus on the finished meal, it's worth remembering the people and processes behind the ingredients on our plates.

Why Beef and Burger Week Make the Perfect Pair

There's no better time to celebrate beef than during a citywide event dedicated to burgers.

Whether you prefer a traditional cheeseburger, a double-stacked creation loaded with toppings, or something completely unexpected, beef is at the heart of many of the dishes that make Burger Week exciting.

This year's participating restaurants bring a variety of approaches to the table, from established burger destinations like Curbside and Burgersmith to creative concepts like Wagyulicious Burgers and Brews.

Each restaurant has an opportunity to showcase its own personality, ingredients, and culinary creativity.

And for diners, it's a chance to discover just how versatile a great beef burger can be.

A Partnership Worth Celebrating

The Louisiana Beef Industry Council's support of DIG Baton Rouge's dining events isn't new.

The organization has previously partnered with Restaurant Week Baton Rouge, helping spotlight the connection between Louisiana's beef industry and the restaurants serving our community.

That shared commitment to food, agriculture, and local businesses makes its involvement in Burger Week especially meaningful.

At DIG Baton Rouge, we believe great food brings people together. Events like Burger Week give our community a reason to explore new restaurants, support familiar favorites, and celebrate the businesses and industries that contribute to Louisiana's food culture.

Let's Make This Burger Week One to Remember

After three years away, Baton Rouge Burger Week is finally back, and we're ready to make this comeback count.

From October 19–31, we encourage everyone to get out, explore the participating restaurants, and enjoy the creativity our local kitchens have to offer.

And as you take that first bite, remember that the story of beef extends far beyond the restaurant.

A huge thank you to the Louisiana Beef Industry Council for helping make the return of DIG Baton Rouge Burger Week possible!

We're grateful for your support of this event and your continued commitment to Louisiana's beef industry.
