Some coffee shops ask you to slow down. Le Reve Coffee on Perkins Road is built for the mornings when you can't.
The name comes from the French word for dream, and the shop's dream is a practical one: premium, origin-roasted coffee that fits into real life. That shows up in the design, which pairs a digital drive-thru station with an open-concept interior for people who do have time to sit.
Start with a signature
The signature lattes come hot in 12- or 16-ounce sizes and iced in 16 or 24 ounces. The Honey Mocha blends espresso, mocha and honey with oat milk. The White Macadamia layers white mocha, macadamia milk and cinnamon, and Le Vanilla tops a vanilla oat milk latte with vanilla cold foam. On the blended side, frappes include Le Dore with vanilla and caramel, Caramel Noir and Le Pistachio.
Purists are covered too, with drip coffee, cold brew, cortados, cappuccinos, flat whites and espresso shots, plus matcha and chai. The syrup list runs from toffee nut and Irish cream to lavender and brown sugar. Fall drinks have also landed, and they are available to order online.
Something to eat
Breakfast runs from 6 to 11 a.m. on your choice of biscuit or croissant. The Pepper Jelly Sausage Sandwich adds Swiss, and the Bacon and Brie stacks egg and pepper jelly on top. Lunch brings a ham and pepper jelly grilled cheese, a chicken salad croissant and a turkey avocado club on ciabatta with pesto aioli. Pastries include cinnamon rolls, chocolate hazelnut croissants and blueberry cream cheese danish.
